Seven warehouses and factory buildings in Great Yarmouth are set to be demolished in a plan to redevelop part of the town.
A total of 89 homes are planned to be built on The Conge.
The first phase is set to begin with the demolition of seven warehouses and factories.
A decision on plans for the demolition of the former Lynch and Calver Store Tower House, Surma House, National Tyre Service, Midas House, Futters Furnishing Company Ltd, D & P Leisure and the East Consortium Building is expected to be reached by March 30.
This comes as the nearby North Quay area was recently awarded £20m for its own regeneration plans.
A spokesperson for Great Yarmouth Borough Council said: "The [Conge] demolition notices are not part of the £20m from the government’s levelling-up fund development of the North Quay area.
"Instead, they relate to the council’s aspiration to redevelop the lower part of The Conge as new high-quality housing, for which outline consent has been granted.
"The demolition of these buildings to the south side of The Conge is the first stage in this redevelopment."
