A warning has been issued to the public as debris from a wind turbine fire may wash up along the Norfolk coast. 

A specialist operations team has been brought in to search for any materials that may have come ashore after the fire off Great Yarmouth.

The Scroby Sands Wind Farm operations team has brought in specialist salvage company AMBIPAR Response to search for any debris that may have come ashore following the fire.

Led by specialist salvage company AMBIPAR, there has been extensive modelling to identify where possible debris could have landed.

They have identified a potential 30km section of coast from Caister going north that debris could have been washed up on at high tide.

The beach clean has begun this afternoon (Thursday, August 17) at the most likely area any debris could have come ashore and will move north in 2km sections.

The public has been asked to contact 0800 240 4518 if they believe they have seen debris on the beach, reporting the location as accurately as possible, and the team will attend as soon as possible to remove it.
