New flashing 20mph signs have been installed in a village right next to Gorleston.
The speed limit indicators were put up outside schools in Bradwell to ensure the safety of the village's youngest residents.
Councillor Carl Smith and Councillor Carl Annison used the Norfolk County Council Road Safety Fund to implement these signs in locations outside Homefield School, Woodlands School and Hillside School.
Mr Smith, for Breydon Division, said: "Our children deserve a safe environment in which to learn and play.
"By installing these flashing 20mph signs, we are taking a significant step towards achieving that goal.
"These signs serve as a visual reminder to all drivers to slow down in school zones at certain times.
"We remain committed to continuing efforts to make our roads safer for our young residents," he added.

The signs are designed to alert drivers to the reduced speed limit during school hours and serve as a reminder to exercise extra caution.
Lothingland county councillor Carl Annison said: “This proactive approach to road safety will help protect children and parents as they travel to and from school and engage in recreational activities nearby.
"Residents have asked for these signs, and we have delivered them," he added.
In addition to the installation of the signs, councillors in Bradwell encourage all residents to be mindful of speed limits and to prioritise the safety of pedestrians, particularly children, when driving near schools.

Norfolk County Council is currently conducting a consultation on plans to build a new school in the village.
The proposal is a response to a growing population in the area.
The school itself would replace the existing Bradwell Homefield CE VC Primary School, on Homefield Avenue, and increase the number of pupils from 210 to 420.
