A Norfolk man's unique hobby has earned him a place in an international calendar.

Dave Clark was seven-years-old when - inspired by watching binmen on his street and accompanying his father on trips to the dump - he embarked on a lifelong fascination with bins.

Fast forward to today - and his passion has taken an international turn as the 52-year-old represents his hometown Caister in a calendar showcasing unusual hobbies, created by the Dull Men's Club.

The club is an online community with around 10,000 members celebrating the peculiar and the seemingly mundane.

Every year, they publish a calendar showcasing people around the world with "unique and quirky passions".

Mr Clark, aka Dustbin Dave, who is the face for the month of March next year, has turned his own hobby - or 'binterest' - into a platform for environmental advocacy.

"Simply don't throw your rubbish away, use the bins," he said.

Teaming up with local organizations, including Norfolk Beach Cleans, Caister Parish Council, and the binsfantastic.com Facebook page, Dustbin Dave said he believes the calendar, now available on Amazon, will amplify their collective efforts to combat littering.
