Cat lovers in the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston areas are being asked if they would consider fostering animals.

The RSPCA East Norfolk branch appeal comes as its waiting list gets longer and space is becoming increasingly limited.

An RSPCA spokesperson said: "We are desperate for people to take care of our cats until they go to their adopters.

"Ideally, we would need fosterers with a spare room, and be able to spend some time with the cats so they develop their personalities."

All of the cats' supplies will be provided, such as food, litter, toys and beds.

It will not cost the fosterers anything and no previous experience is necessary.

The cats will be with fosterers for a varied time based on each case. Anyone interested in fostering a cat should email volunteering@rspcaeastnorfolk.org.uk

Most of the branch's work is in the Great Yarmouth area, but it covers from Mundesley to Hopton on the coast and covers the Harleston and North Walsham areas.
