A "cold and frightened" dog was taken in by animal rescuers after being dumped outside a vets in the middle of the night.
Staff from Marine and Wildlife Rescue were called in the early hours to Haven Veterinary Surgeons in Queen Anne's Road in Great Yarmouth to reports of an abandoned pet.
According to the organisation, she was found as a stray by a member of the public who had contacted The Veterinary Hospital in Gorleston to take her in.
But she was never taken to the hospital and left outside Haven Veterinary Surgeons in the dark.
Marine and Wildlife Rescue was then called around 4am to pick up the dog because the on-call vet could not leave their post.

A spokesman for the rescue centre said: "It was some hours since the poor dog was initially dropped off.
"Other than being a bit cold and frightened, she otherwise didn't seem too worse for wear.
"We were pleased that Hillside Animal Sanctuary kindly offered to assist and one of their team also attended and she was taken back to their centre."
