A new shop and hair salon will open in a holiday park on the coast.

Planners at Great Yarmouth Borough Council have approved a bid to change the use of a storage unit at the clubhouse on Florida Holiday Park off Back Market Lane in Hemsby.

The new use will be as commercial premises for retail and a hair salon.

The site is to the rear of Florida Entertainment Centre known as Bensley's Bar.

The salon will serve both the site as well as the general public which the application said was "necessary to enable it to be open year-round". 

The shop will only be for occupants of the site.

The salon is proposed to be open Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 6pm with the occasional appointments on a Monday or Sunday.

The new business will employ up to four full-time staff

The shop will open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays while the holiday site is open.
