People are invited to join a beach clean at Hemsby

Award-winning Theo Yeldham is teaming up with an offshore wind developer Vattenfall for a beach clean at Hemsby on Saturday.

Theo, whose efforts earned him a place in the BBC's Regenerators' Hall of Fame, has been a common sight disposing of plastic and hazards on Norfolk beaches to help safeguard seals and other wildlife since he was five.

The company was so impressed with Theo's efforts members of its Norfolk project team are now joining his next beach clean, with 150 more from the sector also receiving invites.

The beach clean will start at Monty’s Fish Shop on Beach Road at 10am.

Theo, who has growth and developmental delay, said Saturday’s mission is to cover Hemsby Beach north and south of the Gap and the dunes.
