A police officer paid a visit to Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy, offering pupils an exciting glimpse into the world of law enforcement.
The school's reception pupils were presented with the opportunity to experience the ins and outs of police work first hand as PC Carroll gave a rundown on her duties.
The children took time to admire a real police car and its features, even getting the chance to hear the siren.
PC Carroll allowed them to don actual police uniforms and helmets, thereby introducing them to the career in a more in-depth manner.
Speaking of the role played by the police in safeguarding the community, PC Carroll mentioned what inspired her to join the force.
Academy principal Louise Watkins said: “Having PC Carroll come and visit our pupils was such an incredible opportunity for them to see one of their heroes in real life and to hear about the important role the police play in serving our community.
"I'm sure we'll have now lots of aspiring police officers at OCCPA who can't wait to start helping their community."
