A seaside resort's beach toilets will reopen following a row caused by members of the public urinating in the street.
The toilets at Hemsby Beach are set to open again later this week, much to the delight of local businesses, beachgoers and the local lifeboat station.
Great Yarmouth Borough Council closed the facilities in 2016 following a "review of services" and the duty of keeping them open had fallen onto local business owners.
But the block remained closed this year due to vandalism, resulting in tensions over the toilets coming to a head this week.
Hemsby Lifeboat Station complained that the lack of facilities were causing people to urinate up the back of their station, with coxswain Daniel Hurd describing the situation as a "health and hygiene concern".
Local MP Rupert Lowe also weighed in on the situation, and in a statement made to Facebook on Friday, he said: "Absolutely outrageous behaviour, but we must get the public toilets open ASAP.
"I have emailed the council leadership again, asking for urgent action."

Now, just days later, Great Yarmouth Borough Council has announced the block will reopen later this week.
Following discussions between businesses and the council, a new arrangement has been put in place and volunteers from Hemsby's businesses will open, close and clean the toilets, with the council providing cleaning materials and other support.
Lyndon Bevan, owner of The Lacon Arms and MB's, said: ''We are very pleased we have been able to find a swift solution which means people visiting the beach in Hemsby once again have access to toilets close to the beach.
''There was a long-standing agreement in place whereby some of our wonderful businesses in the village had been happy to look after the beach facilities, but due to repeated vandalism of the block it simply became too difficult to keep it open.
"We hope people show respect for the service because we know how important it is to the community."
