A shopkeeper's bid to sell alcohol for longer hours has sparked the concerns of a local councillor.
Le Chateau, on Northgate Street in Great Yarmouth, is hoping to boost business by expanding its alcohol sales hours.
But the licence application has prompted an objection from Jade Martin, borough councillor for Central and Northgate ward, who fears the late-night hours could have a negative impact on residents.
Ms Martin is not objecting to the shop being opened later for the sale of groceries - but said the extended availability of alcohol could have an impact on the prevention of crime, public safety and the protection of children from harm.

Despite the concerns, the shop maintains its spotless record since opening in 2005.
Harsha Wijesinghe, the applicant, said Le Chateau has never experienced any anti-social behavior or incidents related to public safety or public nuisance.
They also said that other shops in the area are permitted to sell alcohol for extended hours.
The application is seeking to vary the licence to increase the hours for the sale of alcohol off the premises from 6am to 2am every day
The current licence allows the sale from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 10.30pm on Sunday.
The application states: "We were hoping to open for longer hours as customers have been asking as it's more convenient to go to local stores during the earlier and later hours.
"Due to an increase in the local shops in our area there has been a decrease in sales, so we're hoping opening for later hours will make up the loss."
Great Yarmouth Borough Council's licensing sub-committee will discuss the application, and come to a decision, on Friday.
