Police responded to reports of a gunshot as they were called out to deal with a street disturbance in which men were seen carrying a knife and iron bar.
Officers were called to Magnolia Green in Gorleston at 3pm yesterday following reports of an incident in the street involving a group of males.
One of them was carrying a knife and one was seen with an iron bar.
A male aged in his late teens was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston with a head wound and a broken finger.

The sound of a gunshot was also reported and an air gun was subsequently seized from a property in Oak Road.
Following enquiries officers then made two arrests.
A man in his late teens was arrested on suspicion of public order affray, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and GBH.
Another man aged in his 40s was also arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.

Both men were taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning where they remain.
Police say enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and whether the two incidents are linked.
