A woman has described the "shellshock" felt by onlookers in the aftermath of a dramatic crash in Great Yarmouth that left a man seriously injured and cars scattered across the street.
The incident occurred just after 11pm on Monday, when a green Mini Countryman collided with a parked car on Barnard Avenue.
The impact pushed the first car into four others, flipping it onto the path and leaving a trail of destruction.
By Wednesday morning, debris still littered the scene.
Photos from the aftermath show one vehicle overturned on the pavement, another with its front end destroyed, and emergency crews working under streetlights to clear the wreckage.
Angela Ward, whose home is near the crash site, said she was watching TV when she heard "an almighty bang".
She said: "At first, I thought it was thunder, but when I went outside, I saw one car upside down and five others damaged. Another car was sitting in the middle of the road, completely smashed in."
The driver of the Mini, a man in his 40s, was lying on the road, injured but conscious, she said.
"He was saying, 'help me, help me,' and we did what we could to help him. We brought him a blanket.
"I think we were all just shellshocked at the damage that was caused."
