A man has resurrected his bid to build a house on land owned by his parents.
Mark Parker is seeking outline planning permission for a self-build house on a garden plot at Forestry Cottage on New Road in Fritton.
According to a document submitted with the application, he wants to build the dwelling to be in close proximity to his grandmother who lives in a property attached to Forestry Cottage.
This would enable him "to help them remain independent in their later years", the statement said.
It is the second time Mr Parker submitted the plans to Great Yarmouth Borough Council.
Last year, planners refused his application, raising concerns that future residents would be reliant on a private car for day-to-day journeys
Mr Parker said he has been on the borough council's self-build register since 2019, but to date has not been offered a self-build plot.
He appealed the council's decision last year to the Planning Inspectorate but while they dismissed his appeal they considered the proposed development acceptable in principle.
A decision on the bid is expected by November 18.
